Delivering an effective presentation on a complex or technology-centered topic is a daunting task. Presentations revolving around subjects such as why to deploy a large-scale enterprise-wide database monitoring software package or how to learn UNIX can not only be difficult for audience members, they can also be tedious. Understanding how to deliver these types of presentations in an effective manner is crucial. Without effective presentation skills, technology consultants, sales professionals and other high tech professionals face the possibility of losing their audience and negatively affecting their personal performance. Conversely, effective presentation skills can also lead to stronger business relationships, increased opportunities and personal advancement.
Knowing the difference between what is effective and what is not effective is vital. Our Effective Technology Presentations training seminar empowers technology industry professionals with the ability to deliver persuasive presentations to customers and colleagues on complex, technical and other difficult subject areas.
This two-day training program enables participants to focus on effective presentation skills that make technical information clear and manageable. Each training module is designed to build upon proven communication skills and helps participants improve presentation structure and content while increasing personal communication effectiveness. Training class discussions focus on multiple effective presentation subjects such as the how to determine audience needs, structure a presentation, reinforce verbal and visual effectiveness, use multimedia to reinforce a message and handle question and answer sessions.
The Effective Technology Presentations class will benefit those who must present at a customer briefing or deliver a technical presentation at a user group meeting. Participants practice by utilizing a presentation they would ideally provide within 90 days of the training class. All participants will be videotaped a total of ten times and will receive one-on-one personalized coaching and feedback to ensure personal improvement and effectiveness.
This one-on-one approach allows participants to alter personal behavior that might detract from a message and improve presentation skills. Training workshop activities such as individual assessments, group discussions, exercises, learning activities and question and answer sessions reinforce the classroom experience.
